Bluegrass Hospitality Group (BHG) is seeking an experienced and creative decorator eager to raise the bar for a multi-brand restaurant concept. This position will be responsible for elevating and maintaining the creative vision where the image of BHG is represented. The Design Coordinator will assess, visualize, and implement design and décor for various events and displays while working with a team to execute effectively. 

Strengths of an ideal candidate include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Elevate décor for interior and exterior of restaurants  

  • Design multi-purpose set-ups for events and buffets at Malone’s Prime Events & Receptions 

  • Maintain and manage landscaping needs, including third-party contracts, for restaurants 

  • Elevate and organize full holiday/ seasonal décor packages  

  • Create décor layouts/kits for off-site events, attend and set up as needed 

  • Communicate with Malone’s Project Manager to ensure projects are executed 

  • Coordinate with vendors and source materials as needed 

  • Request quotes and maintain budgets 

  • Work with management team to identify opportunities within restaurants 

  • Work within brand guidelines of each concept 

  • Manage a calendar of events/ projects 

  • Propose improvements including cost, timeframe and details 

  • Work with BHG Repairs to make sure any imperfections are addressed

  • Collaborate and manage projects with multiple team members 

  • Balance design with operational needs and budget objectives  

  • Prioritize and produce multiple time-sensitive tasks in appropriate timeframe

Expertise & Experience 

  • Proven experience in interior and event design 

  • Excellent ability to communicate  

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills 

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize 

  • Detail-oriented and passionate about delivering elevated hospitality  

  • Maintain industry knowledge and relevant trends 

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds 

  • Valid driver’s license required

Misc Notes: 

Minimum starting pay is $20 hour based on experience  

Part-time, 20+ hour per week 

Monday-Friday, occasional nights and weekends 

Occasional travel
