Social Media Marketer 

  

Bluegrass Hospitality Group (BHG) is seeking a social media marketing professional to elevate digital presence across all brands.  

  

The position is full-time with a flexible schedule. Candidates must be able to work from BHG corporate office and restaurants in Lexington, KY. Occasional nights, weekends and travel required.  

  

Role:  

Work alongside marketing team to create and execute social media marketing strategy to grow multiple brands, build awareness and increase engagement while following BHG mission and brand guidelines.  

  

Responsibilities  

  • Develop and execute creative social media strategies aligned with brand voice(s) and business goals. Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates and emerging best practices.  

  • Generate original content ideas for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other platforms to promote menu items, events, seasonal campaigns, and behind-the-scenes moments. 

  • Work alongside marketing team to create monthly content calendars. 

  • Plan, shoot and edit photo and video content (both in-restaurant and remotely). 

  • Write compelling copy and ensure consistency in tone. Display strong writing, proofing and editing skills. 

  • Collaborate with internal and third-party teams to implement effective strategies to increase visibility, engagement and visits across all platforms. Post regularly across platforms and engage with guests and local communities of each restaurant. 

  • Monitor and analyze data related to social media performance, followers, impressions, engagement, visits, etc.  

  • Assist with internal and external digital brand awareness, including Google My Business, Yelp, Trip Advisor, Open Table, etc.  

  

Teamwork & Timeliness 

  • Work alongside and collaborate with internal team members and restaurant teams. 

  • Partner with marketing team on all online promotions, events and updates. 

  • Prioritize and produce multiple time-sensitive tasks in appropriate timeframe.  

  • Thrive in high-energy environment. 

Expertise & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising or related field Preferred 

  • Two years experience in social media marketing Preferred 

  • Strong content creation skills including iPhone photography and videography Required 

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Splice, Snapseed or similar tools Required 

  • Strong written and oral communications skills  

  • Understanding of platform algorithms, trends and audience behavior 

  • Organized, self-motivated and able to manage multiple content streams and deadlines 

  • Passion for food, hospitality, storytelling and a desire to grow within the BHG family
